Sydney Internship Package

In collaboration with our Australian partner, we can help you with internships through our Sydney Internship Package. Despite the name, internships are also available in other areas of Australia.

Who is this package for?

Sydney Internship Package

Sydney Internship Package is for those who want help finding an unpaid internship in Sydney or other places in Australia.

Location

The majority of our internships are in Sydney and Brisbane, but internships are available in other Australian cities as well.

Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to apply for the HCMC Package:

 

  • Enrolled at a university or college or have graduated within 24 months prior to the planned internship start date
  • Be between 18 and 30 years of age
  • Good English language competencies
  • Have no criminal record
  • Qualify for a working holiday visa (subclass 417 or 462)
  • Able to finance your stay, trip and the internship package

 

Please note that you can not intern with one host organization for longer than 6 months due to visa restrictions.

Application deadline

No later than 10 weeks prior to planned start date.

What is included in the package?

Feedback on application

Before submitting your application to a host organization, we will provide feedback and suggest improvements to your CV and application documents if deemed necessary.

Visa application assistance

When your internship is confirmed, we will provide general guidance on how you apply for a visa to Australia.

Training monitor

Monthly “training monitor” to help ensure your internship progresses as planned.

Guaranteed placement

We guarantee to find you an internship. If we fail, you will get your money back. (less an administration fee of EUR 50).

Personal liability insurance

A liability insurance that covers you during your internship.

Social activities

Invitation to social activities in Sydney.

Statement of service/reference

Upon completion of the internship, you are presented with a statement of service or reference by the host organization, which details the training received and skills learnt with the host company.

Interview with host organization

When a suitable host organization has confirmed interest in you, we will coordinate an interview.

Support during your stay

Support from our partner in Australia throughout your stay.

Newsletter

You will receive digital newsletters during your stay.

How to apply?

Submit your application

Are you ready to apply? Great! We are ready to help you to the internship of your dreams. To get started, please follow the application steps.

1. Complete application form

Complete the application form (request from Studysea) and email it back to til intern@studysea.eu (remember to sign it).

2. Submit supporting documents

Please email the below supporting documents to intern@studysea.eu:

 

  • CV/Resume
  • Latest academic transcript (from your current education)
  • Copy of recommendation letters (if applicable)
  • Copy of valid passport (photo page)
  • Internship contract or any other requirements that your home institution may require the host organization to comply with (if applicable)

3. Initial payment

If your application is accepted, we will send you an invoice for the first installment of the internship package. Please follow the payment instructions on the invoice.

4. Receive feedback

Studysea checks your CV and application and suggest improvements when necessary.

5. Interview with host organization

When a host organization expresses interest in you, our partner will contact you and invite you to an interview with the host (typically via Skype or telephone).

6. Confirm internship agreement

If an internship placement is offered after an interview, an internship agreement will be prepared and sent to you for approval and signature.

7. Final payment

When your internship is confirmed, it is time to pay you second and final installment of the internship package. Please follow the payment instructions on the invoice.

8. Pre-departure preparation

  • Order insuraqnce, apply for visa, book flight
  • Find housing or temperary accommodation (on your own or through our partner)
  • Travel to Australia!
What does it cost?

The internship package

 

Sydney Internship Package costs 1,335 Euros.

 

Payment is due in two installments. First installment of 667.50 Euros is due by application. The second and final installment is due when the internship is confirmed.

 

*Interns will be required to purchase a travel and health insurance through Studysea as well at an additional cost. Prices vary and depend on the length of your stay. Contact us for a quotation.

Refunds and cancellation

 

  • Refunds are not available after an internship has been offered.
  • For cancellations received before an interview is offered, the applicant will not be invoiced the 2nd rate.
  • If an internship placement has not been confirmed minimum two weeks prior to planned start date, the applicant will be eligible for a full refund of the itnernship package fee, less a 50 EUR administration fee.

Living expenses

 

Most internships are unpaid and you will be expected to cover your living expenses during your stay in Australia.

Travel expenses

In addition to your internship package fee and living expenses, you may need to budget for additional costs related to your trip and internship such as:

 

  • Round trip airfare
  • Visa fees
  • Health and travel insurance*
  • Liability insurance (if required by the host organization or your home education institution)
  • Cancellation insurance
  • Housing security deposit
  • Immunizations
  • Expenses related to verification/notarization of documents (if required by host organization)
